Spending analysis uses your spending activity to build an accurate picture of your finances for you, broken down by category.
As well as Spending analysis, we also have Income analysis. Both work in a similar way, the only difference is Spending analysis shows you what’s going out of your account and Income analysis shows you what’s going into your account.
You can view the amount of money you have spent or earned in the analysis tools by category and customisable time period, and also see a direct comparison with how this month's activity compares with the previous month or the last six months!
You can view previous months using the arrows and can customise the date range by selecting the Month view dropdown menu, then Custom and enter your required date.
If you click on the graphs at the top of the screen, it will let you know if your total income or spending is up or down compared to last month. You can navigate between the graphs to get more information.
What if I don’t want a transaction included in my analysis?
Recategorise the transaction as a Transfer. The purpose of the Transfer category is to move money between your accounts and not mess up your analysis.
Why are some of my transactions not included in my spending or income analysis?
This might be because the transactions have been categorised as Transfers. The transfer category is designed to allow the movement of money between your accounts. Click here to read more.
Why can I see duplicate transactions?
Occasionally Moneyhub may show duplicated transactions. There are a few reasons this may happen, follow this helpful checklist to resolve.
